The city of Rio de Janeiro will host the first edition of the Rio Climate Action Week, taking place from August 23 to 29. The event is scheduled to occur three months before COP 30, which will be held in Belém do Pará. The goal is to bring together various sectors of society to discuss climate change and propose solutions adapted to Brazil’s specific context. The program is organized in partnership with a similar and well-established event in London. Marcelo Lins interviewed Malini Mehra, one of the event’s organizers.
