How to Register

We are delighted you are planning to hold an event during the inaugural Rio Climate Action Week 2025 #RCAW2025.

RCAW is a curated programme of activities across the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro from Saturday 23rd to Friday 29th August 2025. It will engage a range of city, national and international partners to showcase climate solutions and galvanise communities ahead of COP30 in Belem in November 2025.

As part of our Whole of Society Mobilisation, ethos, RCAW provides an inclusive platform for organisations to propose an event.

If you would like to organise an RCAW event, please complete the event application form below and submit it. All event applications will be reviewed by the RCAW Secretariat to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.

The application process is now open and successful organisations will be informed on a rolling basis. Approved events will be placed on the RCAW calendar, which will be widely promoted from 1st June 2025 onwards.

You are welcome to host more than one event as part of the RCAW programme, but please note that each event will need a separate application form.

Please provide an image relating to your event to use on the website. The image needs to be width: 1600 x 800 pixels and an aspect ratio of 2:1. If the image submitted does not have the right dimensions, we may use a standard RCAW image with your event title as a place holder.
Please write a short description of the event including information on thematic focus and topics, outline agenda and headline speakers (if available), intended attendees and objectives/outcomes.
Please include a short description of your organisation (boilerplate)
Please select those that will be most helpful to your intended audience when searching.
Please enter the full event address including post code for in-person events. For virtual events, please write ‘online event.
Please provide a link to the events page on your organisation’s own website (or dedicated registration site) where people can find additional information and register for attendance. If you do not have an events page, please add contact or registration details to the event summary above.

By submitting an event to the official RCAW 2025 programme, I confirm and certify that:

– The event (including event content, speakers, partners and sponsors) and the event organiser/s align with and support the mission, objectives and ethos of Rio Climate Action Week, and the UNFCCC Paris Agreement and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

– The event organiser will use the RCAW logo and name in any event registration, branding and promotional materials, including on-site. The event organiser will ensure that the RCAW logo and brand materials are used in line with the brand guidelines and that such brand materials are not misused in any way.

– The event organiser is responsible for the conduct and content of the event and any liability arising from the event. The event organiser will conduct the event in full compliance with all relevant laws, guidance and best practice including, but not limited to, those concerning the health, safety and well-being of persons.

– Any support which may be provided to you by the RCAW Secretariat does not and shall not constitute legal or other specialist technical, financial, procurement or other specialist advice. The RCAW Secretariat (Pro Natura Interntional) does not and shall not warrant the completeness, accuracy or propriety of any such support or accept any liability suffered in relation to this.

– The event organiser will complete a short post-event survey, providing information on the event and attendees, and any feedback for the RCAW Secretariat on the process and platform. Such information will only be disclosed to external parties in an aggregate manner and not attributed to any individual event or organiser (unless permission is specifically granted).

Disclaimers
– By submitting this application form, the event organiser agrees to be fully responsible for organising their event as part of the Rio Climate Action Week festival, and must bear all costs incurred, including as they relate to location; catering, facilities and technical support; registration and managing of attendees; and any other event communication and event management aspects.

Change Requests
– Once you have submitted an event application and approval has been gained by the RCAW Secretariat, you will be issued with a unique identifier.  Please ensure you keep this safe as you will need to use this identifier to reopen your submission and make your changes.  Any change requests will be submitted to the RCAW Secretariat for re-approval.  The change request process will be live from mid-May 2025.

HOW TO TAKE PART

Rio Climate Action Week is a new, inclusive platform for city-wide, globally-linked climate action featured a curated programme from 23-29 August 2025.

Registration is now open for any organisation that wishes to organise an in-person or virtual event during RCAW and meets the approval criteria.
