A mutirão for climate action on the road to COP30

As the world looks to Brazil for leadership ahead of COP30, Rio Climate Action Week (RCAW) provides a critical platform to build the “drumbeat for action.” In this spirit, the World Climate Sessions: The private and financial sector Action Agenda for the implementation COP will convene key actors from the private sector, financial institutions, and civil society for a full-day, solutions-oriented flagship event.

Hosted at Museu do Amanhã, this event is a direct response to the COP30 Presidency’s call for a global “mutirão” – a collective effort to build a “granary of solutions” that can accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement. Structured around the COP30 Action Agenda, the sessions will move beyond announcements and pledges to focus on practical, scalable, and investable solutions that can drive a just and equitable transition.

This event serves as a steppingstone on the road to Belém, aiming to provide a useful space for discussion on a range of objectives from the proposed Action Agenda for COP30.
