This event aims to foster dialogue among women leaders from civil society, academia, and public institutions on the pathways to a just climate transition. With a particular focus on overcoming structural inequalities that exacerbate the environmental impacts on Black, Indigenous, and Amazonian women, the discussions will bring together perspectives on public policies, collective health, gender justice, and territorial knowledge as essential pillars to address the climate crisis with equity and democratic participation.
The initiative is grounded in the recognition that the climate crisis disproportionately affects women—especially those from historically marginalized groups—who, despite being on the frontlines of both vulnerability and resilience, remain underrepresented in decision-making spaces. By creating an inclusive platform for exchange, the event seeks to highlight women’s transformative roles and promote gender-sensitive approaches to climate governance.
